Is facebook legal better than legal aide?

Another day and another anti-family court ramble from our anna. This one posted on the DIY Family Law Australia facebook page.

Where else would a person who is ‘self represented’ turn for legal advice? Facebook of course. Why wouldn’t you get assistance from people with little to no knowledge in a field where your children’s welfare is your prime concern. Allegedly.

So here is our anna’s ramble, in its entirety:

How do you complain about a children’s independent lawyer? I actually asked for one to be appointed as I am self represented. I wish I hadn’t as they have done more damage than good. Mediation was organised they requested it and I want it. Legal aid finally agreed to fund me for mediation. It was all set to go and then the ICL went and cancelled it without my knowledge and when they knew I was away….. And couldn’t be notified…..how is this possible? Can I ask to remove the ICL or insist on mediation???

Now, let’s have a look at this ramble, and see how much we can assist our anna. Well, assist better than facebook professionals can.

How do you complain about a children’s independent lawyer?

Just to make it clear, this took us 37 seconds to find. We know this because we timed it from a blank screen (no browser window open). And we thought our anna could do ‘research’.

I actually asked for one to be appointed as I am self represented.

Well that is certainly grounds for a complaint, In the immortal words of Abraham Lincoln “He who represents himself has a fool for a client.”

I wish I hadn’t as they have done more damage than good.

Again, another ground for a complaint?

Mediation was organised they requested it and I want it.

Well, so far we are of the opinion that with so much damning evidence that the death penalty is on the table.

Legal aid finally agreed to fund me for mediation.

Well, now we are confused. With access to the combined legal minds of facebook, why does our anna need to suckle at the teat of the public purse?

It was all set to go and then the ICL went and cancelled it without my knowledge and when they knew I was away….. And couldn’t be notified…..how is this possible?

Well, there it goes. Death penalty is the only option left.

We have read this multiple times and still have no idea what our anna was thinking when she requested an Independent Children’s Lawyer be appointed. What did she think would happen? That the ICL would team up with our anna against Anil?

The ICL has only one interest, and anna is not it. We wonder when it finally dawned on our anna that the ICL cancelled the mediation (if this actually happened) because it was not in the children’s best interest.

And the mediation being cancelled, when the mediators knew that our anna was away and could not be notified?  But didn’t our anna say that she was funded by legal aide? So all the mediators needed to do is contact our anna’s legal aide solicitor. Isn’t that what legal representation is for?

We find it incredulous that a person in the middle of a family court action would remove themselves from all forms of communication, like maybe a mobile phone? But then, nothing our anna does surprises us anymore.

Can I ask to remove the ICL or insist on mediation???

Of course you could anna, but that would involve talking to someone other than facebook.
